This film, based on the autobiographical bestseller by Bronja Žakelj, follows the protagonist Bronja through different stages of her life. After losing her mother to cancer at the age of thirteen, Bronja later faces illness herself – but through humor, hope, and perseverance, she finds the strength to overcome these challenges. In the film, Mei portrays young Bronja, bringing softness and authenticity to this deeply moving story. The film had its international premiere in Sarajevo in August 2025, where it received the Audience Bronze Award with a rating of 4.7. At the Herceg Novi Film Festival, actresses Lea Cok and Anica Dobra were awarded the Golden Mimosa for Best Actress.
